The 2010 International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking |

By United Nations resolution 42/112 of 7 December 1987, the General Assembly decided to observe 26 June as the International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking as an expression of its determination to strengthen action and cooperation to achieve the goal of an international society free of drug abuse. As a UN member country, Thailand has been fully adopting and abiding by since then. Annually, the Royal Thai Government reiterates this event by convening anti-drugs campaigns and other corresponding activities nationwide. Rewards and Plagues Confer Ceremony, presented by H.E. Mr. Abhisit Vejjajiva, the Prime Minister, on the 25th June 2010 at 10.00 hrs. at the Santi Maitri Hall, the Government House, hold by ONCB, in cooperation with Narcotics Control Foundation. The ceremony is to present rewards and plagues to persons and organizations for their outstanding performance on drug control.

The 38th Destruction of Confiscated Narcotics, presided over by H.E. Mr. Jurin Laksanawisit, Minister of Public Health, on the 25th June 2010 at 10.30 hrs. at the Utility and Environment Management Center Bangpa-in Industrial Estate, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province, hold by Ministry of the Public Health.
